I don't get it. She's super friendly, great with kids, takes excellent photos, and is an utmost professional. Wow. Superb! We had 15 family members out in Hawai'i and wanted family photos--a bunch of them. You know, the whole group, smaller family units, just the grandkids, just the granddaughters, etc. She was very helpful in knowing the local terrain, timing of the sun and locations. She made everyone feel at ease (which made for some great fun shots--included). To top it all off, my brother is a professional photographer, and he gave an enthusiastic thumbs up for her work as well, both the final pictures and during the shoot. In short, she's fantastic and you should book her now. You won't regret it.

Our family celebrated my husband's 70th birthday in Kailua this spring. We arranged for Kristen to do a photo shoot on the beach to capture the cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Kristen made this experience so fun and totally painless, to the surprise of several! She was great, professional and captured amazing photos - I was so pleased. I would recommend her for any occasion!

I honestly couldn't say enough great things about Kristen! We were getting married and had never been to Hawaii, and Kristen was so helpful with recommendations and planning for our engagement and wedding photos. She helped with suggestions for locations with pictures and links, what time of day, recommendations for where I could get flowers, and even drove to the other side of the island to accommodate a sunrise engagement session with the wedding back on the other side of the island later that afternoon. She made us feel very comfortable during each session considering how nervous we were and the pictures are phenomenal! I now follow her work and can't wait to go back for family photos on the island.

Kristen is amazing! We were only in the area for a few days but she willing to go out of her way to schedule a last-minute engagement shoot for us. Her photos all came out beautifully, and she did a great job of capturing our personality! She also was very good at quickly getting us comfortable with the whole process, and there was a good mix of candids and posed photos. I highly recommend her! Thank you so much, Kristen!

Kristen made a family-reunion photograph session over Christmas vacation seem like a breeze. She is easy-going and so fun to work with. She offered great tips for colors to wear (and not wear). She suggested appropriate props to help with levels. The day before our session, when we started to second-guess our chosen beach location, she quickly identified a new location that was beautiful. The weather wasn't great, but Kristen captured the 15 of us in great light. She made it fun, and I think we have some terrific family photos. I would use her services again.

I have an engagement photo session with Kristen in Oahu during raining season(1 week before Christmas). Thanks a lot, I hire Kristen, She save my engagement photo from bad weather! She is a warm heart and talented person. She knows very well about the weather, all the beaches, and traffic condition. We first have some photo at the Waimanalo beach before the rain is too heavy. Then Kristen guides us to other beautiful locations nearby before the clouds and rain reach there. Despite the bad weather, I receive 500+ beautiful photo in a THREE HOURS photo session! The quality of the photo is high. If you are not very familiar with Hawaii, and your time slots for the photo shooting is quite limited. Kristen is a very helpful and talented photographer.

We hired Kristen to do family photos while we were on vacation in Hawaii. We were quite a large group with a few babies and a few school aged kids. She did such a great job and was so easy to work with! She sent us all the photos, including the bloopers and we loved them! Everyone was really happy with how they all turned out. What a pleasure it was to work with Kristen during our time in Hawaii. My fiancé and I got engaged in Oahu and were able to book a session with Kristen a few days later. The session was a blast and Kristen's flexibility and easy going personality allowed us to be who we are - which made for amazing pictures! I don't normally provide reviews but Kristen took such amazing photos of my family I feel that I have to share for those families looking to have pictures taken! My family and I were traveling to Oahu for vacation and I wanted to get updated pictures done. With no referrals my only option was to google. Kristen came up on my search and I saw she had great reviews so I contacted her. Leading up to our trip she always responded to my many questions in a timely manner. On the day of the pictures she didn't disappoint. I never once felt rushed or stressed and she made us all, especially my young boys, feel comfortable, which made for many beautiful pictures! I am over-the-moon happy the results. When we return to the island I will definitely be contacting Kristen to take our pictures again!

I don't write reviews often. I am very particular, and will not take the time to write something unless I am absolutely moved by a product or service. Kristin is it. Not only was she professional, friendly and on time... she made my husband-to-be and me extremely comfortable throughout the entire event. Her eye for the 'perfect shot' is amazing, and she was able to capture those 'Harry Benson' moments, which showed the essence of our personalities. Kristin made our wedding day most memorable, and beautiful. I would absolutely use her again, and highly recommend her for your upcoming event.

We are from Germany. We have booked a blessing package for our son on Oahu - including a photographer. To our luck we had Kristen Hook. She was very open, friendly and heartily. It was very nice to work with her. She took the mood well during the blessing without "disturbing" the ceremony. We were much more surprised when we saw the pictures. These have become very beautiful, impressive colors and "light games" and we are very happy to have this great memory. We really hope we can do a shoot with her again.

Kristen was perfect for our large and chaotic family. She took advantage of photo opportunities as they came up for family groups, was very patient, and sent us back amazing photos. I was really impressed that as we neared the end of our time, she was more than willing to go to yet one more setting to catch some posed and candid shots, she was very generous with her time. She did a great job with the kids, and she did a great job with both posed and candid pictures. We got everything we wanted from our session with her. We got back over 200 pictures that were beautiful and fun, close ups and far aways, lots to go through and save. Thanks so much Kristen!!

Kristen was everything I could have dreamed of in a photographer for my wedding. She was very calm and collected, which made me (as a bride) so much more comfortable. Her photos were absolutely stunning, more than I could have imagined. I researched photographers for 3 weeks before deciding, and I know 100% that I made the right choice. She was able to get lots of glamour shots, and was willing to partake in my silliness with funny photos I wanted. She truly listened to our wishes, and gave amazing advice on how to get the best shots. Would recommend 10/10 times.

Kristen did the photos for my husband's 80th surprise birthday party. We flew his entire family out to hawaii from all over the country and it was no small feat to make all of the arrangements for the shoot with all of us. There was a fair amount of anxiety and craziness involved with everything going on and Kristen handled all of it with perfection; she brought such professionalism, calm and kindness to the process that we all felt so comfortable in no time. The photos that she took brought us to tears, laughter and everything in between. In addition, she did an individual family photo shoot that was a special gift that really touched our heart. Kristen was the photographer for our recent wedding. We heard about her from good family friends and since we aren't located in Hawaii we went based on the recommendation. We couldn't have been more pleased. Kristen was amazing! She was early and even captured shots I didn't think she would have time to do. Kristen was the photographer for my wedding in July. She did an amazing job with the photos. We had a large amount of people we wanted photos with and she was patient with us as we figured out all the different combinations of family pictures. Kristen was punctual and really personable. I felt like she was a more of a friend taking pictures than just some random stranger. She had creative ideas for poses and used a couple different cameras to get the best shots. The pictures were ready within 2 weeks of the wedding date. We had the option to download them all ourselves, order a cd, and we could order them right from her website if we wanted.
